The name of the project: “Public Participation, Housing Utility Issues”
The goal of the project was to establish sustainable mechanisms for the protection of multi-apartment building population's interests in Shirak Region through campaigns raising public awareness and creation of a condominium coalition. 23 condominiums in Shirak region participated in the Advocacy campaigns, 20 of which were from Gyumri, 2 from Artik and 1 from Maralik. The total number of apartments in multi-apartment buildings under the supervision of the 23 condominiums comes to 9,430 with 37,720 residents.

The name of the project: “Equal Childhood”
The goal of the project was to force the Vanadzor municipality to adopt a resolution pursuant to which budget allocations will be foreseen in 2007 for one of the nursery schools of Vanadzor for the provision of necessary conditions, recruitment of relevant staff, and purchase of a mini-bus with appropriate equipment for the children with disabilities. Among the project implementers were 50 nursery school staff members and 20 NGO representatives.

“Journalists Club “ASPAREZ” NGO (ARM-AI-V-2006-04)
The name of the project: “Protecting Freedom of Information”
The goal of the project was to ensure the access and availability of information to the general public in Shirak region regulated by law, and to increase the responsibility and transparency among state and local authorities providing important information. 150 people from Gyumri participated in the discussions during the project implementation. 45 NGO representatives took part in the network formation. In accordance with the report presented by the NGO, 135,000 people were included totally.

“Children’s and Youth Non-governmental Organization Kantegh of Gyumri” NGO(ARM-AI-V-2006-05)
The name of the project: “For the Protection of Minors”
This project aimed at assisting the use of corresponding legislation to ensure the working equality of the employers and minors engaged within hired jobs. It was planned to include 100 minors and 100 parents, but the number of participants engaged during the implementation of the project were 82 parents and 140 minors, 13 of which became adults during that period.

“Youth For Peace and Development “ NGO (ARM-AI-V-2006-06)
The name of the project: “Clean City – Healthy Generation”
The goal of the project was to assist the work of LSGBs (Local Self-Governing Boards) in Gyumri dedicated to the solution of environmental problems through increased participation of youth in the decision making process. 20 young people participated in advocacy and a group of initiators was formed. 1,000 Gyumri inhabitants joined the signature collection supporting the problem solution, 13 NGO representatives joined the message, and 5-7 Gyumri inhabitants took part in the TV discussion through calls.

The name of the project: “Strengthening Constitutional Legality through Human Rights Protection”
The aim of the proposed project was to protect citizens who have experienced violations of their rights, and to promote constitutional impartiality. During the 4 months of the project implementation, 1112 beneficiaries and constituencies took part in Advocacy campaign. 45 of these participated in the campaign by presenting applications to administrative and legislative bodies while 1076 people were participants through legal services of human rights library network.

The goal of the project was to support the allocation of money from the reserve fund of the community budget to manage waste around 10 resorts near the Vanadzor river. 470 inhabitants were direct participants during the project implementation. 100 public listenings and 60 discussions were organized during the project.

The name of the project: “Developed Community”
The goal of the project was to form public opinion directed to freedom of information and influence the decision made by LSGBs. Around 1760 Vanadzor community members participated in the advocacy campaign during the project. A signature collection action was organized with 500 participants and another action of letters was implemented with 60 NGO participants. Social partnership advertisements and announcements within this project were publicized via 2 largest Vanadzor TV channels and one FM radio station. At least 1200 citizens have watched the tapes.

The aim of the project was to improve the system of self-governance at 15 schools in Lori region. During the implementation of the project 500 inhabitants participated in surveys, over 600 pupils from 15 schools in Vanadzor took part in trainings. The name of the project: “Tenement-house Dwellers’ Participation in Condominium Management.”
The aim of the project was to increase the participation of multi-apartment residents in the
condominium management process. The NGO provided meetings during the reporting period with the representatives of 12 condominiums in Vanadzor. The main purpose of these meetings was to present to multi-apartment building representatives the opportunity for participation in condominium management. 30,000 residents of multi-apartment buildings of 12 condominiums were direct beneficiaries of the project while 35,000 residents from the rest of the condominiums were indirect participants.
